  1. Shelby American 1960s Supplier: Holley Carburetor For decades, Holley manufactured carburetors and components for a wide variety of O.E.M. manufacturers and aftermarket racing companies, like Shelby American. Holley was also noted as being the prime supplier of carburetors for the NASCAR and NHRA racing circuits. The company's building stood at 11955 East Nine Mile Road in Warren, Michigan. .
  2. DETROIT NUT & BOLT Detroit Nut and Bolt was a specialty fastener manufacturer, which supplied parts to every major racing team, including Shelby. They were located at 17000 Southfield in Allen Park, Michigan. Eagled- eyed Ford fanatics in Dearborn might recognize that this building was home to Ford's Special Vehicle Operations (SVO) in the 1980s and into the early 1990s. The building is still part of Ford and one of Roush's facilities is directly behind it.

  8. Shelby Dealer Files Federal Lawsuit Against Shelby American Long time Shelby advocate and Shelby Dealer Stephen Becker's Planet Cobra has filed a federal lawsuit against Shelby American. The lawsuit's complaint are accuse Shelby of the following: • Breach of contract • Break of the covenant of good faith and fair dealing • Unfair competition • Intentional interference with prospective economic advantage • Negligent interference with prospective economic advantage. The thrust of Becker's lawsuit involves around Shelby American allegedly selling 50th Anniversary Cobra directly to customers rather than through their franchised dealer network. If true, Shelby's direct sales could violate agreements with their dealers and also violate state franchise laws. Other Shelby dealers, which were also allegedly denied their contractual agreement to sell 50th Anniversary 427 Cobras might be filing suit against Shelby causing more headaches for the cash strapped company. 10. Both the ShelbyGT500Forum and ShelbyUnleashed have been moved to this site because we wanted to bring back the rebel yell attitude of StangsUnleashed the the early TeamShelby days - and we didn't want to loose the previous content that was generated. We've been planning this site for a long time and there's more behind this move that will come to light later on down the road ;) Welcome back to the site with attitude - we've missed you!
